Yoder Websites is a one-person web design business based in Walhonding, Ohio. This page explains, in plain English, what information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. If you have a question, email [email protected].
What we collect
When you request a quote. The quote form asks for your name, email, phone number, business name, website, the service you need, your services and service area, and any message you add. You choose what to share; only your name and email are required.
When you browse the site. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site (for example, which pages are visited and roughly where visitors are located). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your IP address, browser, device type, and pages viewed.
When you enter the free website giveaway. The giveaway form asks for your name, business name, email, phone number (optional), city and state, your current website, your type of business, and what you would like a new website to do. We use it to run the monthly drawing, contact you about your entry, and, if you win, plan your website. Each entry gets an anonymous entry code. Only that code is provided to RANDOM.ORG, the independent service that runs the drawing, so you can check the result yourself. Your name, email, and phone number are never sent to RANDOM.ORG. We only feature a winner (name, business, or website) in posts or videos with their permission.
Your light or dark mode choice is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it. It is not sent to us.
How we use it
- To reply to your quote request and talk with you about your project.
- To keep a record of requests so nothing gets lost. Quote requests are stored in this website’s private admin area and emailed to us.
- To see which pages are helpful and improve the site.
- To block spam.
We will not add you to a mailing list or send marketing email unless you ask us to.
Who else sees it
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We only share it with the services that make this website work:
- Our web host and email provider, which store the site and deliver quote requests to our inbox.
- Google Analytics, which processes the browsing data described above. You can read Google’s privacy policy or opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- RANDOM.ORG, which runs our monthly giveaway drawing. It receives only anonymous entry codes, never your name or contact details. See RANDOM.ORG’s privacy policy.
- CleanTalk, an anti-spam service. When you submit the form, details such as your IP address, email, and message may be checked by CleanTalk to decide whether it is spam. See CleanTalk’s privacy policy.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies (their names start with _ga) to tell visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and related emails for as long as they are useful for your project and our business records. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting in our Google account. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we have about you by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
